what would you do if you were home all alone and bored out of your ever loving mind?
...
i'll tell ya what i would do ... i would get out random flannel from my stash and make a pile of receiving/swaddling blankets for #2 and matching burp cloths. (9 blankets and 18 burp cloths to be exact). the blankets measure around 35"x37" and the burp cloths are 8"x18".
...
isn't that what everyone does when their husbands leave them to go play video games, and the kid is asleep and there is nothing good to watch on tv??
...
hmmmm .... no? ... just me?
(the blankets are LARGE ... i took pictures of them folded in quarters)

how cute!!! I love them. Also I love having big blankets, the ones you buy in the store are way too small.
The fabrics are wonderful! I love them! That's a good thing to do with your time when you are bored...
At least your hobbies are useful. My hobbies are what most would call a waste of time Cheers.
Have fun Jodi.
That is very good use of time. I would choose to just waste mine or read a good book!
WOW!! You go! All very cute!
They turned out really cute!
y'know? you already showed me the material you had picked out for this project...but they all turned out so cute! does that help you feel a little more prepared?
even if she is naked...you could just swaddle her right up and she'd never know it! ha ha ha!
i thought of even another project for you. it's in the works. i have too big a pile for you...sheesh! oh well, good thing i love ya!
I love love love that last one!
I love making these!!! Do you use two pieces of flannel together? I do and they are so nice when they wash up. 1 1/2 yds of each fabric can make a large blanket. I like to round the edges with a plate. It is so fun!!! I made a ton when Hannah was born.
You are going to love all of this stuff when your baby is here! How fun! Great job!
I can see that you used your serger...i'm jealous....
WAY cute fabrics!! Way to go, Mrs. Resourceful! Ya I think only a talented crafty sewer such as yourself would do this. Good job :) Nice that you could make the blankets as big as you want, most of the ones we've bought I wish were bigger for wrapping.
I love them and am jealous of your many talents.
