shrimp cocktails

we went out to dinner last night with 2 other couples and their kids that we haven't seen in MONTHS!!! it was absolutely fabulous and we need to do it more often. seriously it's probably been over 4 months. we met up at TGIFridays ... and i forgot my camera on my coffee table. so i have no pictures as proof.
...
robby's absolute favorite appetizer is shrimp cocktail. we were surprised when the one we ordered came out and had 12 shrimp on it. holy moley! aidan started pointing at it and whining. so naturally robby ripped off a bit of one and put it in aidan's mouth. he LOVED it. he smiled and did a little wiggle dance in his high chair. the next bite robby fed him had cocktail sauce on it which he immediately spat back out! then the next bite (without sauce) was handed to aidan. he slowly put it to his mouth while shaking his head (no doubt hoping that horrid sauce wouldn't ruin the bite). after that it was full speed ahead, while smiling and wiggling the whole time. it was SOOOOO cute. i wish i had my camera, i would have taken a video!!! each of us ate 4 shrimp each. aidan LOVED them, he is just like his daddy! who would have guessed?

I like shrimp too, but now that nicole's called them cockroaches of the sea, I'm not sure I can eat one again

I'm always surprised at what my kids will and won't eat and yes it seems daddy's taste has a big thing to do with their preferences. So, my kids like spicy things.
