oops, i did it again!

well we went over to my folks house for superbowl. my mom always puts out a dang good spread of food. this year it included buffalo chicken bites and my sister made lumpia (loompia!!) i decided to make a fruit tart. i recently learned how to make it at a church cooking class and it was delicious!
...
here are some pictures of all the delicious food to make you jealous! loook, 4 kinds of chips (lays potato chips, sun chips, round mission tortillas, and spicy tortilla chips made from homemade tortialls --- SOOOOO good! plus guacamole and salsa for your dipping pleasure!

here you can see the deviled eggs (not the best they had sweet reish in them, who puts sweet relish in deviled eggs? apparently my grandmother!) then you can see the broccoli and cauliflower with dip. plus pretzels and onion dip (made from scratch!!) for my hubby his favorite snack food!

here is nicole making her lumpia!

here she is when she was all done, doesn't she look so proud? they were delicious! (hopefully she posts the recipe on her blog soon!)

here is nicole and my mom making the buffalo chicken bites, boy these were delicious and they went FAST!

my mom holding the finished bites before the boys came in a devoured this batch! great job mom, these were delcious!!

and here is my fruit tart, i'm sure i'll be posting the recipe soon, so stay tuned!

when i walked into my folk's house and set the tart on the table my grandma came up and said, "i heard you made something you've never made before" it took me a minute to register what she was talking about, "oh yeah," i replied "i made this fruit tart, i hope it turned out ok ..." and then i added "but i'm also making something i HAVE made before" she turns to me confused and asked me "what?" and then i fill her in on what i was talking about, "I'M PREGNANT AGAIN!"

what a great set-up!! oops, we did it again! we are now expecting lil baird #2. ahhhhhhhh! that's right ... i'm pregnant ... AGAIN! didn't i just do this? i'm not ready to do it again! oh sheesh! what in the world am i going to do with 2 kids. seriously, what in the world. i'm not ready for another one!

we had already told my parents and robby's mom. most of the reactions have been great, which is excellent. rob's mom said, "i thought you were going to wait" and "i thought you were on birth control" thanks for being excited for us mom! (sarcasm) my parent's jumped up and down (ok ... bounced in their seats while at breakfast) and clapped and said "yeaaaaaahhhh!" much better reaction!! while my oldest sister just cackled into the phone! nicole was throughly excited as we'll both we pregnant together and our little ones will only be like 2 months apart! i actually told her first because i was freaking out when i found out and she is always the voice of reason and sanity (i'm sure she'll say she is not and that is is anything but sane, but to me she is!!!) she calmed me down and got me excited! thanks nikki, you're the best sister in the entire world!!!

Err...congratulations. And ambitious! One of my best friends found out she was pregnant when her litle one was three months old. They are exactly one year apart. It was ROUGH the first 1.5 years but now they're 4 and 3 and get along great!

P.S. I want the recipe to those buffalo chicken bites!

Congrats Jodi! My first 2 kids are 2 1/2 years apart and they've fought since day one *(Emma can't share anything, including her space). But my boys are 18 months apart, which I thought would be hard having 2 babies, but it's been great! Weston was too little to be upset (unlike Emma who cried when she met Weston) and has always been nice to the baby. I love it when he smiles and coos "hi Andew!" So cute! You're going to love it!

Oh my gosh.......the britney spears reference.....lol....oops i did it again. You are hilarious!

Congratulations!!!! Don't let anyone put a damper on your happiness, your kids will be the best of friends. My mother-in-law had all of her kids close (except for Jason)and she swears it's the only way.

I'm so happy for you!
P.S. That fruit tart looked amazingly beautiful! YUM!

Congrats!! I often wonder how I'll manage with two when my turn comes. I suppose it will be a lot like the first one - you freak out, then figure it out. :)

My Turn to comment...now that my keyboard decided it actually is okay to let me type letters.

I'm so EXITED for you Jo! And i know, it's all supposed to be about you, but it made me feel so good that when you needed to talk to someone, you called me.

We're prego-buddies!
And you think you're worried about two? TJ and I are going to be outnumbered! I have two arms, and I'm going to have 3 kids...wait a minute! what were we thinking?

You're an amazing mom. You are even better with Aidan than i thought you'd be. You need more kids to be a good mom for.

And of course, the baby will probably be a girl, can't let those pink-fetishes and penchant for barbies go to waste!

The food looks scrumptious and congratulations! You will be one busy mama!

Yea! I'm so excited for you! Congratulations and all that jazz. I can't wait to hear all the news. I'm thinking that that's about the timeframe that we'll want to start thinking about another baby too (when Alyson's about a year old).

Love you!
Cara

I really don't know how you will handle two. One drive us up the wall. I think the only reason we can stand him at the end of the day is cause he he so dang cute. Congrats anyway. On another note... How about that food? Does that stuff look good or what? When do I get some of that?! LOL
