aidan loves to color

aidan loves to color ... i, on the other hand, don't like trying to keep him contained while coloring. he hasn't learned yet that we ONLY color on paper. he likes to try to color on clothing, his hands and arms and the couch!! yikes. (on saturday he found a pen at my moms and colored ALL over the tablecloth on her coffee table ... sorry mom!!!!)

Zach colored on my leather dining chair last night... needless to say he got his first real spanking from his mom.

I had a neighbor whose 2 yr old girl got into my other neighbors mothers brand new cadilac while she was over for a visit and covered the tan leather interior with a black sharpie! and some kids like to decorate with their diaper goods! It is frustrating, but these days are gonna fly by!

Tori colored all over my leather purse, I was not happy. I am just hoping she doesn't get to the walls. Aidan is so cute, I can't believe how big he is getting.

this seems like one of those things that pops up now and again. usually, with adam, i keep all coloring/stamping/painting confined to the table. once i get lax in location - then he gets lax in location.

that being said - the other night he refused to go to sleep, and one of the times i went in to put him back to sleep...he'd taken the lids off of five different markers and colored on himself, his pajamas, the bunkbed, and his sheets. not washable ink either. i didn't beat him. and he was distraught that the color didn't come off his fingers. sheesh.

Joy's taking an increasing interest in crayons, too. So far it hasn't occurred to her that you can color on anything but paper, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time . . .

I love the concentration on his face in that last pic. Yeah, I have pen on my couch from Weston this week. I don't remember it being so hard with Emma to get this only paper concept down. Boys, in one ear out the other. Actually with Weston I'm not sure it ever enters. All these little boys are sure cute though!
