WICKED!!!

ok, so i've been meaning to post about going to see WICKED ever since i went ... but i kept hoping i could post more pictures. unfortunately they are being held hostage. my sister insisted we take the group pictures with her camera (something about more pixels ... plus she just bought it) ... unfortunately even though i've asked her at least 10 times to send me the pictures she ignores the request. (and i know my mom is bummed she wont share because mom forgot her camera, so she has NO pictures!! nicole tells me to forget about 'em ... and that heidi never ever shares her pictures no matter what ... so i've given up hope.)
...
oh, well! i can't put it off any longer. (i mean over 2 weeks is long enough!!). on june 13th (haha ... friday the 13th). i went to go see WICKED. there was a whole group of us, my sister heidi came down from utah and brought along her bff, kemari, and my parents and my brother scott and his wife amanda, and her parents.
...
i dropped off aidan at my friend kristi's house so she could watch him until robby got off work (thanks kristi, i really appreciated it!!), then i headed to meet everyone at my parent's house.
...
when i got there heidi was just finishing getting ready and as i sat on her bed and caught up with her she mentioned casusally
...
her: "now you have you ticket, right?" (she had purchased all the tickets so that we would all be sitting together).
my response, "haha ... you're so funny. you have my ticket."
her: "um, no i don't. it was mailed directly to you at your house."
me: "WHAT?! but i never check my mail!! why didn't you tell me this before, isn't that an important detail?!" (seriously we pay all our bills online and check the mail like twice a month ... a bad habit ... i know!)
...
so i had to drive back home to dig through my mail and try to find my ticket. fortunately robby was home and dug for me and met me halfway to deliver my ticket. then i headed back down to meet everyone for dinner (mmmm .... islands). then we headed out to hollywood to see the show.
...
my friend, wendy, had been talking the show up and i was expecting a LOT from what i had heard from everybody ... and it EXCEEDED my expectations. it was FABULOUS!!! i thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone.
...
i also scared everybody sitting around me during the intermission. while walking down the stairs i tripped and fell down them!!! it totally freaked everyone out ... but i didn't get hurt at all (just my pinky where it got caught on the iron railing!)
...
heidi, me and mom mom (getting ready to go find our seats and taking in the sights of the pantages theater ... amazing!!)

me ... all dressed up. (i even put on my pearls ... just for you nicole ... no opera gloves or tiara, sorry!)

me and amanda holding our playbills, we're soooo excited!!

a shot i got of the stage before the show started ... i got yelled at for taking this picture! OOPS!

thats all i got folks ... i wish i could post a picture of everyone who went ... but oh well, live and learn, next time i wont listen to heidi when she insists to use her camera!! because i now know she never learned to share.

I want to see this play so bad. I was supposed to see it in Chicago with my parents but then my husband got laid off and we no longer lived in Wisonsin when they went there. I have heard great things about it from everyone. Maybe a trip to Cali should be in the works!

Wicked is absolutely amazing! My favorite broadway hands down!!! I hope you didn't fall down because of the "medication" you're on! :0 pregnancy makes life so much more interesting! But at least people around you were concerned and not rolling with laughter, which would have been the natural response if you weren't currently prego! FUN TIMES!

wicked was wicked, eh?

and i must confess...all of you chicks are a disappointment. not an opera cloak or gloves or tiara to be seen. i begged and begged y'all to dress to the nines...but would you? no. not even to amuse a big ol' fat lady who couldn't go.

i'm glad your health stuff is finally getting straightened out.

and, that's it. this morning i've officially hit my limit. i am now more exhausted by being pregnant than i am about having three kids. you never know...i just might beg my doc on thur to just get him out of me already. if i'm going to be miserable...might as well be healing already...and have something to show for it. course i still have a huge to-do list. better prioritize and see what can be done before thur. we'll see. didn't sleep any longer than 20min at a time last night. yick. mom will be happy if i can prevail.

How fun! I REALLY want to see Wicked, it plays in Chicago which is only a few hours away from us so I hope that we are able to see it within the next year. You look so great! I love your dress, it is so cute!!!

Oh I absolutely LOVED the play too! We saw it about a year ago. I dragged Chris along, cause he isn't into those things, but he said it wasn't bad (which is a really good thing!) I'm glad you liked it!!

That is awesome! I love to know that we are not the only ones who don't check their mail for about two weeks. I hate getting it and we pay bills on-line too.

I wish that we could go. I have heard nothing but great things about it but Doug already got us tickets to see Celine Dion for my birthday. I wanted to see her in Vegas but that didn't happen (with a 5 year optional window to fill) so he had to jump on this one asap while she is performing in town.

I love the pictures you have they are great!

The ticket debacle is totally something that would happen to me. I'm jealous, I'd love to see that show.

Oh, so jealous! I want to see that sooooooo bad, along with many other shows! You live in such a fun place, what am I still doing in Idaho?!

That kind of stuff is exactly why I miss CA so much. So many fun things to do. I am glad you had fun. And I probably would have laughed at you falling if it was someone I didn't know and then once I noticed the bump felt all guilty. But that's just the fun shame spiral way I like to live my life. Glad you didn't hurt yourself. I was a fall down kind of pregnant person, did it quite a few times, it's never as bad as it looks.

Such a great play! My mom had given me the music long before and I had every song memorized. We saw it in that theater too and it was great!

Not that I need to, but in my defense, I posted the pics on my Wicked blog (I would do a link but I'm not that blog savvy yet) and she only asked me once, and believe it or not- I am a busy person and forgot to even download the pics... and you didn't say PLEASE!! And... I had an alternative ticket thing worked out before you got yours from Robby, and I'm the one who caught you at the bottom of the stairs- don't forget that!! hahahahahahahahaha Now I'm going to hold the REST of the pics ransom! But who cares about all that because WICKED was AWESOME!!!
