aidan thinks he's a politician

holy moley, aidan started doing this about a month ago and i think it's hillarious! when he talks he moves his hand up and down. it reminds me of politicians speaking. he does it all the time and it totally cracks us up. unfortunately, he didn't feel like doing it for very long for the camera. but you get the idea!

say "please"

i keep telling people that aidan says please, he recently started saying it a LOT more. ok, and he doesn't really say "please" its more of spitting at me with a p sound at the beginning! either way it's pretty dang cute! enjoy aidan saying "please"!!!

now if only i could get a video of him saying "dangit". it's actually one of the words that you can understand -- and he uses it correctly. on easter after the kids were filthy from digging in the dirt we threw all three of them in the bath. while they were in there aidan stood up and slipped and fell down, his response? "dangit!" nicole and i were just cracking up. she tried getting him to say it again and catching it on video, but instead he decided to do some cruder things that we will not show on a family blog!

aidan has been flirting with this trick for awhile, going over and pulling on the handle, but on monday (3/31/08) he finally got it. look at his smile, he thinks he's being sneaky (aidan, it's not sneaky if mom's taking pictures of it!!)

duper duper 'doo

i've been in a hair funk lately, and needing something new. rachel to the rescue!!! (isn't she just so dang cute??) my sister has been in town the past week and we've been hanging everyday. on thursday (3/27/08) we were at my mom's (like we were all week) and our friend rachel wanted to hang with us. she is a hairdresser so you can just imagine what three crazy preggo girls do too late at night!!we decided to add a little color, yeah for bleach streaks!! don't i look pretty?hmmm, wouldn't i look great with blue hair?

here i am, all styled and pretty!! (sorry about my blotchy skin, when i washed my hair in the sink i ended up washing my face as well, so no more makeup!!)
i LOVE the back, its short enough i can spike it again, huzzah!!!thanks rachel! you're the best!!! she also cut and colored nicole's hair, but you'll have to check her blog for pictures! our 'doos are similar, but mine is shorter!!

oh, and my blog title comes from nicole's little boy adam, he doesn't say "super duper" just "duper duper' which CRACKS me up!!

aquarium of the pacific

robby had last friday off (3/21/08), so we decided to join some friends at the aquarium of the pacific. robby and aidan both love fish, so we figured it would be a perfect family outing. the day started off kinda rocky, but it was worth it. so much fun!! (sorry i haven't posted all week, my sister was in town and we were playing playing playing all week, now we're sick sick sick! thank you scott for passing that along to us!!)oh, and check out those shoes, this was the FIRST time we've ever put shoes on the kid. he's usually barefoot or just weaing socks. it took him a bit to get used to them. after i put them on he sat there for five minutes trying to get them off, then he refused to stand up and would only crawl. after about 20 minutes he was walking all over and it hasn't slowed him down a bit!!

they had an outside play area which also features a squirting thing which SOAKED aidan! (dontcha just love his little fauxhawk!) so he got spoiled and we bought him a new shirt so he wouldn't be freezing the rest of the day (unfortunately his camo shirt somehow fell out of our diaperbag and is now lost forver -- sad day! i loved him in that outfit and he had only worn it twice!!) oh well!

first time ever on daddy's shoulders while watching the sea otters playing! he loved it!!

he also got spoiled with a new stuffed shark, which he absoluely adores!!

back at home, chillin' with daddy after having a fun day at the aquarium!
