finley is all smiles these days, the other night she was talking like crazy, so i grabbed my camera and this is what she did ...

it cracks me up that you can see her looking at the camera and me, going back and forth! i can't believe she's almost 4 months already!

the second we got there aidan found some loose chickens running around, so he ran around with them.

aidan loves to splash (part 2)

(i don't know when i originally wrote this post, but it was FOREVER ago. this video was done on november 2, 2007) aidan has finally decided that he likes bathtime. he used to hate it, but instead he's discovered the wonders of splashing. i think he's outgrown his baby bath, and much prefers the big boy bathtub -- i don't have any videos of him in the big tub, but it's just as funny! (well i found a video of him in his big tub, but it was sort of indecent and i figure you've seen enough of my son or one day!! but splashing is still very much a part of bathtime.)

aidan thinks he's a politician

holy moley, aidan started doing this about a month ago and i think it's hillarious! when he talks he moves his hand up and down. it reminds me of politicians speaking. he does it all the time and it totally cracks us up. unfortunately, he didn't feel like doing it for very long for the camera. but you get the idea!

say "please"

i keep telling people that aidan says please, he recently started saying it a LOT more. ok, and he doesn't really say "please" its more of spitting at me with a p sound at the beginning! either way it's pretty dang cute! enjoy aidan saying "please"!!!

now if only i could get a video of him saying "dangit". it's actually one of the words that you can understand -- and he uses it correctly. on easter after the kids were filthy from digging in the dirt we threw all three of them in the bath. while they were in there aidan stood up and slipped and fell down, his response? "dangit!" nicole and i were just cracking up. she tried getting him to say it again and catching it on video, but instead he decided to do some cruder things that we will not show on a family blog!

jumping cousins!

this is what the kids did after aidan's party before we went to sleep. holy moley they were cracking us up! i was impressed with aidan holding his own among his bigger cousins who kept knocking him around. i mean the kids only 1 and hannah is 5 1/2 and adam is 2 1/2. needless to say we were entertained!

growing growing - UPDATED

aidan had a well baby check up on november 26th, he's now 29 inches long and weighs in at 22 pounds. on november 28th he finally got his fourth tooth that he's been working on. the other fun trick he figured out on the 28th was waving. robby came home for lunch and aidan and i walked outside with him. while robby was getting into his truck aidan started waving. (neither i nor robby were waving or had waved earlier). we've tried getting him to wave previously, but he had never done it. needless to say both of us were overly excited about his trick and try to get him to do it constantly. when i get a video of it, i'll post.

aidan's trying to walk

this is aidan's other newest trick, he is trying to walk -- no wait scratch that, he's trying to RUN. he holds onto the couch, turns around and runs at me until he falls flat on his face -- it's hillarious. (please excuse my behind which keeps getting in the way of the camera, i'm sorry!) also, please note after he spots the camera, and then is more interested in the camera instead of momma. crazy kid. he's been doing this for about 2 weeks now. the funny thing is he doesn't want help (you know how kids like to learn to walk while holding their parents' hands) nope, not this kid. he's independent, he'll pull himself up on anything, turn around and let go. and when he does he smiles so big. he's completely loving that he's getting to be a big boy. i think the most steps he's taken so far is around 6 or 7 ... but he's getting better.

aidan's new funny face

this is aidan's newest smiley face, it cracks me up every single time he does it. it reminds me of the scrunched-nose faces of the vampires on buffy.

aidan's new trick

this is aidan's newest trick, he can take the lid off of the apple cinnamon puff container. he uses his teeth for leverage -- which is up to three now. his third tooth (the top right one) broke through yesterday.

on the plus side it has been confirmed that aidan is HUGE! he's 27 inches long and weighs in at 18.5 pounds. he's in the 97 percentile for both length and weight. yup, he's HUGE (get it? plus side ... plus side, get it? hehehe)!

in addition he's recently started doing this...

now i really need to watch him, he's mobile. (and yes he LOVES remotes, he'd rather play with that more than anything else. if i can't get him to crawl to me i can get him to crawl after a remote.)
