our house, in the middle of the street

i'll try to get a real post put together, it's been hard because all my freetime is trying to get our house settled. i try to busy myself unpacking boxes whenever aidan is sleeping or happy playing by himself.

actually the living room is basically done. my goal is to have the main living scapes (where visitors visit) done by the end of next week. wish me luck! and i really don't want to post pictures until we get some window coverings going on. tomorrow we are going to ikea to see what we can see, rob's mom is going to babysit aidan, wish us luck!!

packing, pictures and blessings

yesterday (may 7th) robby's mom came over and played with aidan while i was busy packing up our apartment. things are starting to look good. i packed 20 boxes in the time she was over (about 3 hours) plus 6 big black trashbags of maternity clothes (2) purses (3) and pillows (1). yup i have enough purses to fill three 30 gallon trashbags.

on Sunday May 6th my hubby blessed Aidan Connor in our church (actually there were two babies blessed, and both of them were named "Aidan" how crazy is that?) family and friends all celebrated this event with us. Aidan looked so cute in the outfit that i made for him - tie and all. as soon as i get the pictures that my photorapher (aka my sister nicole) took, i'll post them. she is excellent and i love that she takes sooo many pictures -- it lets me not stress too bad at events like this. the only pictures i took was after the party was dying down, robby was taking care of aidan while i was chit-chatting away in the kitchen. i went to check on them and this is what i found. i had to go get my camera, because it's just priceless. i guess we wore both of them out.

packing for the move

well on april 1st we tried giving aidan his first bottle. much to my suprise it really didn't faze him at all . daddy got to feed him for the first time since he was born. and he enjoys giving aidan a bottle whenever mommy can't feed him.

adain's ability to take a bottle meant we could leave him with robby's mom and went out on our first date without little aidan. i was completely freaking out and as soon as the movie was over we went straight home.

and this is what happend when you ignore your kid too long because you're too busy doing this...

we're moving into a house and out of our apartment. we have to be out by the 17th of may, so this next little bit is gonna be crazy. i've found that it's really hard to pack boxes when aidan just wants to cuddle with his momma all day long. today i put him in the swing and just ignored his whimpering for me. a little while later when i came back into the living room i found him completely zonked out in his chair. poor little guy. wish me luck in packing boxes.
